Steven Mora is the Managing Partner for Conejo Mountain. Steve is a Licensed California Funeral Director, Crematory and Cemetery Manager for the operation at Conejo Mountain. Steve is a  volunteers in his spare time with many organizations in Ventura County. Steve believes that Funeral service  is a very Noble profession and says, "Helping families is the most important commitment that we can give at the most difficult time in their lives." Alexander Crider

Alexander Crider

Marketing Director

Alex joined Conejo Mountain in 2007 and carries three decades of Cemetery, Funeral, and Advanced Planning experience. During the course of his career, Alex has held a number of positions, including Advance Planning Counselor, AP Department Manager, AP Director, Family Service Counselor, Family Service Manager, and Sales Manager. Professionally, Alex holds a Cemetery Broker License and an Insurance License for the state of California.

Alex lives with his wife, Diane and daughter, Victoria in Camarillo where they attend Calvary Nexus. He enjoys all kinds of travel, from vacationing in Maui or Scotland to cruises and old fashioned road trips by car or motorcycle. He also enjoys exhilarating activities such as surfing, sailing, sky diving, bungee jumping, target shooting, riding his Harley, driving fast on the track and... Jeopardy! His most cherished activity, however, is time spent with family. “I thank God every day for His blessings.”

Tina and her husband Alejandro have been happily married for 18 years.  They presently reside in the city of Oxnard, sharing four adult children, two teenage sons, one teenage daughter, and a beautiful 3-year-old granddaughter…in addition to three highly protective Rottweilers.

Tina enjoys listening to music, spending time with friends and family, researching anything ancestry related but most importantly, loving a clean house and always ready to start a new interior design project at home.

 

 

 


James Garcia

James Garcia

Grounds Superintendent

Born and raised in Camarillo with his two brothers, James is a 1994 graduate of Camarillo High School. His father, Joe, was hired in 1976 by founder Mary H. Smith and soon became a grounds foreman. James was born that same year and literally grew up on the cemetery property, surrounded by deer, rabbits, dove and quail.

As a youth, he enjoyed hiking, camping, and hunting, and fishing from the creek that flows under the white bridge on Howard Road as you approach the park. As a teenager, he began working for his father part-time while attending school. Now, following in his father's footsteps, he is the Grounds Superintendent at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park.

James loves spending time with his wife Staci and is the proud father of Jamie. They enjoy camping, fishing, barbecuing, and just hanging out.

Erin Arteaga

Erin Arteaga

Funeral Director

Erin Arteaga is a licensed Funeral Director with over 10 years of experience in the industry. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed working as a receptionist, Crematory Operator and Funeral Director. She enjoys caring for the loved ones that have been entrusted to her, creating artistic printed materials for services and training fellow associates on various processes.

Erin grew up in Simi Valley before settling in Moorpark with her husband and son in 2014. She and her family frequently travel to the lakes of the Eastern Sierras to fly fish on float tubes. They enjoy ocean fishing locally as well.

Previously involved with the Calabasas Chamber of Commerce, the Calabasas Every 15 Minute Program and docenting at Strathearn Historical Park and Museum in Simi Valley, she looks forward to exploring community involvement opportunities in the immediate area.

Erin feels privileged to be given the opportunity to serve our local families and values the great responsibility that accompanies such an honor.


Alison Balding

A lifelong Venturan, Alison (Moser) Balding has been a part of the funeral profession since 2007.    As a funeral arranger, she considers her profession a “calling” as opposed to a “job”.  Alison has a servant’s heart and a genuine compassion for people.   She states “It is an honor and privilege to assist families with final arrangements for their loved ones.” The many families that Alison has assisted have found great comfort in the meaningful memorials and tributes that she has helped design to honor their loved one’s life. 


Alison is the fourth of eight children born to Dr. Jack E. and Ann Moser of Ventura. Residing in Ventura all of her life. Alison  has three children, five grandsons and three granddaughters. Alison is widowed by her beloved husband Bruce of 30 years in 2021. She is a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  She has a solid testimony of Jesus Christ and the love He has for each and of us.

Her strong ethics carry over to every aspect of serving the families of our community.

Destiny Garcia

Destiny is new to the funeral industry. She has 13 years of customer service experience and with that brings much patience and understanding. Being a part of the Conejo Mountain family and the work that they have accomplished fills her with a deep sense of comfort knowing that in some small way she can assist families during these difficult times. Destiny is happily married to her husband of 14 years and they have a son who keep them on their toes at all times. She enjoys spending time with her family, and loves to read. “Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person”

Kevin Boyle

Kevin Boyle

Family Service Counselor

Originally from Long Island, New York, Kevin has lived in the Conejo Valley since 1981.

Kevin joined the Conejo Mountain team in 2012, bringing with him nearly a decade of experience. The beauty of the surrounding foothills and the expansive vistas of Conejo Mountain are a favorite feature of his. Moreover, he appreciates the privilege of helping families who are planning for the future as well as families who have suffered a loss.

Kevin is active in the community and has coached several teams in a variety of sports, including roller hockey, lacrosse, and soccer.

Kevin also enjoys the outdoors, listening to all types of music, and dancing. Above all, Kevin enjoys the time he spends with his family.

Patrick Boetticher

Family Service Counselor

Patrick Boetticher was raised here in Camarillo attended Las Colinas and Camarillo High School, He attended Moorpark College obtaining his degree in liberal arts in 2003. He earned his Eagle Scout rank at an early age and continues to be active in the local Boy Scout program with his son. Patrick has a wide variety of interests, from motorcycles to camping at the beach and working on his classic car.


He is happily married to Debra and enjoys spending time with their children Jacob, Molly and Cannon.

David Arimura

David Arimura

Family Service Counselor

Born in Camarillo to Sumitoshi and Emiko Arimura, David and his brother Chris have lived in Camarillo their entire lives. He graduated from Camarillo High School in 1981 and worked in his family's growing flower business, which was established in 1955. In September 1984, he started a new division of the company to market, package and ship flowers to most cities in the U.S. and Canada.

David and his wife have three daughters who keep them active. He is also a part of a mountain biking group established in 1995. He is a regular member of Crossroads Community Church and loves football and classic American Muscle Cars.

Nick was born and raised in Ventura, where he currently resides with his wife and son. He is a graduate of Ventura High School and went on to finish his Associates Degree at Ventura College.

Bringing over eight years of experience in the funeral industry, Nick is a licensed Funeral Director and Notary. He prides himself on his compassion and professionalism.

In his spare time, Nick enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, listening to music, running, reading and traveling. He became part of the Conejo Mountain family in 2015.

Denny and his wife live in Ventura. They have two sons and a wonderful granddaughter. Outside of his career, he enjoys almost everything the great outdoors can offer.

Denny has been a Family Service Counselor at Conejo Mountain for many years and has had the privilege of serving many families in our community. He feels every family deserves compassion and care as well as personalized service to fit their particular needs. He believes Conejo Mountain's pristine, tranquil setting can provide a healing and inspirational experience for all families who visit.

Joe Ortiz comes to Conejo Mountain from the Oxnard educational system, where he served as an administrator for the Oxnard Elementary School District. Joe works as an Ambassador assisting families with their funeral services. He is a lifelong resident of Camarillo and is very active in local sports activities, in addition to serving on the bereavement team for St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. Joe brings compassion to helping the families he serves at Conejo Mountain with pride and care.

Glenn Mossembekker

Funeral Ambassador

Glenn Mossembekker comes to Conejo Mountain Funeral Home as a former US Army Vietnam Veteran and 30-year Mechanical Engineer retiree from Lockheed Martin Corporation. He is uniquely positioned as an Ambassador who loves interfacing and assisting families with all their funeral service needs. He is compassionate and knows what families go through after having lost close friends himself in the war.

Glenn has a wife named Helena, who owns an agency for assisting elderly home care, and two children who are both university graduates, a daughter Jenny who works for AMGEN and a son Jason who is currently working for Conejo Mountain.

Glenn loves traveling and has already visited many US states and many foreign countries. Also, Glenn enjoys attending professional sporting events or watching them on television.

Paul White is the newest member to the Conejo Mountain Family as of October 10th, 2017. He recently moved to Camarillo from Chandler AZ with his wife Dianne. Paul come with a vast knowledge of Funeral service and looks forward to being part community as an ambassador for our Funeral Home.

Alex joined the Conejo Mountain family because he feels a deep commitment to helping families with exceptional service. Alex was born in Ventura and graduated from High School in 2019. He is currently enrolled in Ventura College. In his free time Alex enjoys painting, drawing, reading, visiting the beach, and teaching children how to swim.


David Reel

David Reel

Funeral Ambassador

David is a Ventura County historian, author of the book Camarillo: Past and Present, webpage administrator, and the content creator, writer, and voice actor of Hyperlocal Camarillo, a full season podcast illustrating the history of Camarillo. In January 2023, he'll make his literary debut for the short story, "The Top Floor of the Sash and Blind."

 

For years he cared for his elderly parents. Today, he's happier than a teacher on the last day of school to serve local families while learning such a rewarding occupation.

 

David is a Camarillo native and loves spending time with his wife and close circle of friends. Writing, reading, trivia, cooking, geography, telling jokes, sports, exercise, and road trips are high priorities in his 


Clifford Williams

Cliff, a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, moved to Ventura County in 1984 and has been a resident ever since.  Cliff married Liza, also a Conejo Mountain funeral ambassador, in 1986.  Together they have four adult children and three grandchildren.  Cliff is a 40-year veteran of law enforcement.  He worked 29 years for the California Highway Patrol, retiring as a Ventura County field office commander, and then almost 11 years as a fraud investigator with the Ventura County District Attorney’s office.  Cliff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Homeland Security.  He is also a 2001 graduate of the FBI National Academy.   Cliff now works part time as a funeral ambassador because it provides a rich opportunity for him to continue his passion for public service, especially helping those who recently lost a loved one.  When not working at Conejo Mountain, Cliff and Liza are both active with their church, enjoy travelling, and stay busy babysitting their grandchildren.


Elizabeth Williams

Liza has been a Ventura County resident since age 3.  Liza married Cliff, also a Conejo Mountain funeral ambassador, in 1986.  Together they have four adult children and three grandchildren.  After graduating from Camarillo High School, she attended Ventura College and obtained an Associate’s degree in Nursing.  Afterwards she has worked as a licensed Registered Nurse, mostly in Ventura County, for 40 years.  Liza later attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.  Liza married Cliff, also a Conejo Mountain funeral ambassador, in 1986.  Together they have four adult children and three grandchildren.  Liza now works part time as a funeral ambassador because it offers her the opportunity to continue helping others in need, especially those who recently lost a loved one.  When not working at Conejo Mountain, Liza and Cliff are both active with their church, enjoy travelling, and stay busy babysitting their grandchildren. Conejo Mountain is proud to have Liza as part of the team with all her expertise.

Jacqueline Denny has been in the Funeral industry for over twenty years. Her passion as a licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director is to help families remember Their loved ones lives at a difficult time. She enjoys spending time with her family and her precious animals which always puts a smile on her face.

Administrative Concierge

Nancy joins our team from the Funeral and Cemetery industry of six years. Prior to coming to Conejo Mountain, she spent 5 years providing care to her mother-in-law who suffers from dementia. Born in Los Angeles, a native Californian to Filipino immigrants, Nancy was raised with an amazing work ethic and importance of having an education. She has an Associate’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in Management and Marketing and was getting her Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies at CSUN.

Nancy is happily married to her husband, Dennis for 30 years. They have two sons, Nicholas (24) and Daniel (21). They reside in Agoura Hills and moved to the Conejo Valley in 1995. She enjoys traveling and playing golf with her family, as well as her love for cooking, scrapbooking, and walking their Yorkie, Cindy Lou. She also has 2 lovable cats.

She is a parishioner at her Catholic Church in Westlake Village and is involved in Mom’s in Prayer Group of the Conejo Valley and the Westlake Women’s Club.

Sandy, her husband, and their two daughters are longtime Camarillo residents since 1979. Sandy brings with her a background in retail sales, where she held several management positions. Sandy feels that it is a privilege to work at Camarillo's greatest treasure, Conejo Mountain Funeral Home, Memorial Park & Crematory. All of Sandy's spare time is taken up by her granddaughters, grandma’s to-do list, and spending time with her three beautiful Pomeranian dogs that she enjoys and loves so much.

Aimee Nozzi has been in the funeral profession for over 14 years. A native of Ventura County, Aimee works as an Administrative Assistant for Conejo Mountain. She has a deep passion for helping others, especially during times of grief and loss. Aimee resides in Ventura with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys traveling to National Parks with her family. In her free time, you will find her going on a hike, spending time with friends and enjoying the beach. She loves being involved in her local church as well.

Lorraine has been a lifelong resident of Oxnard, where she is a mother of two adult children,  Gama to 3 year old Nehemiah and dog mom to Cessy. She has past cemetery experience and just returned to the industry, when she joined the Conejo Mountain family this year as an administrative assistant.  She enjoys listening to music, classic cars, and shopping for anything vintage. Lorraine  is glad to be here.

Grounds Foreman

Ricardo Moreno is the Grounds Foreman at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, joining the crew in 2002.

Ricardo was originally born in Mexico but has been a Californian since 1993. Soon after graduating High School in 1997, he pursued a career in machining but soon changed paths, discovering he preferred to work outdoors.

In his free time, Ricardo likes to relax by working on his 1969 GMC and fixing things around the house. What he values the most, though, is spending quality time with his wife and son. They enjoy taking impromptu hiking trips in the local hills and quiet evenings at home, “family movie night.”

Grounds Crew

Servando Moreno has lived in Ventura County for over 30 years. Before joining the Conejo Mountain Grounds Crew in 2005, he spent 13 years manicuring the lawns of Sherwood Country Club. Servando takes particular pride in ensuring our cemetery grounds remain pristine.

In his spare time, Servando enjoys tinkering with his cars, listening to music and learning new things.

Arturo Rios has served with the Grounds Crew of Conejo Mountain Memorial Park since 2006. He and his family have lived in beautiful, sunny Camarillo for 43 years. When Arturo is not working hard, he enjoys spending time with his four grandchildren.


Marco Antonio Rodriguez

Grounds Crew

Marco Antonio Rodriguez was born on a small ranch located in Michoacán, Mexico. He grew up in a modest home with seven of his siblings, Marco being the youngest.

Marco moved to the United States to start a better life for himself. As one could imagine, it was very difficult and at many times, overwhelming. With faith, all he felt he could do was to look to the future and strive for success. When Marco’s mother passed away in Mexico, for various reasons, he was not able to attend her burial. Considering this marked event in his life and the fact that he now works in a cemetery, he has come to wear his heart on his sleeve. He feels very fortunate to have this job and enjoys challenging himself and learning new things.

Marco’s life experiences have taught him to be humble and honest. Honesty has always been considered a valuable virtue to him. Therefore, he strives to be as honest and caring to everyone he crosses paths with here at Conejo Mountain and in his personal life.

Marco is very proud of where he is today. He has achieved many goals and continues to work on many others, all while watching his two daughters grow and succeed in their own lives. He considers his children his greatest blessings and is forever thankful for the man he is today.
