Lt. Commander David L. Clements, age 78, died on Monday May 22, 2017 after a long illness.

   “Chief Clements” or “Pops” as his loved family referred to him as, was surely welcomed to his eternal life by Barbara, Pat and Timmy, who passed too soon for us as well.

    Pops is survived by his wife, Shirley; his sister, Mikie; his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Shipmates, Colleagues, and friends can all attest that blood relation was not a border that defined family for him, but only as an extension of what he considered family. He was so very loved, respected and honored by many.

    In lieu of flowers, please donate to: Parche Base of the USS VI. A nonprofit organization that he held dear to his heart that distributes help to local military families and also embraces the Sea Scout community.
