Surrounded by her family, Patricia Anne Cobb passed away in her Camarillo home 10/9/17 due to complications of breast cancer. Born 8/4/32 in Sioux City, Iowa to Martin Julius Larsen and Catherine Julie Larsen, she lived a full life of kindness, strength, love, courage and meaningful work.  A graduate of Morningside Nursing School, she earned her RN license, garnering the highest score in the state of Iowa her graduating year on the subtest regarding psychiatric nursing. She continued her education at Cal State Los Angeles earning a BSN to realize her dream of working as a Ventura County Public Health Nurse.

Patricia was a talented woman with many interests. In high school, she participated in theatrical productions, and played violin in the orchestra. During nursing school, she played basketball. She loved to dance, garden, cook, travel, read, exercise, shop and spend time with her family, especially her beloved grandsons. A well-informed, community minded citizen, she spent time involved in various groups including St. Columba's Altar Guild, Camarillo Democratic Club, Air Force Sergeants Association, Sons of Norway, and the Harvard University Nurses’ Health Study. Well-traveled, in recent years, she engaged in frolic and fun with her gym friends in Japan, Mexico and Columbia.

As an Air Force wife, she lived in Spokane, Washington, McGuire AFB New Jersey, Victorville, Torrance and Atwater California, and Aldeburgh, England. Stationed at Oxnard AFB, now Camarillo Airport, in 1957, she and husband, Eddie vowed to one day return to make a permanent home in Camarillo which they considered paradise.

Predeceased by her mother, father, sister Julie and husband North Edison Cobb, she is survived by her daughter, Rene Julie Cobb and her husband Peter Thomas, her son Steven Julius Cobb, his wife, Tamara Gayle Flowers and beloved grandsons, Patrick Larsen Cobb and William Earley Cobb.

Most memorable, as noted by friends, family, patients and acquaintances was her unfailing kindness, generosity, and respect for all. A beautiful woman inside and out, with a glowing smile and sparkling eyes, who exuded love and comfort, she is adored beyond words, and will be forever missed.

On Thursday, October 19, 2017, services will be held at St. Columba's Episcopal Church (1251 Las Posas Rd, Camarillo, CA 93010) at 10:00 AM followed by a reception at the church. Burial will proceed at Conejo Mountain Mortuary and Cemetery at 11:45 AM.
