Betty Rose Matheson

Our sweet mother, Betty Rose Matheson passed peacefully from this earth and into the embrace of her husband on June 7, 2018.  She was married to Floyd Wetzel Matheson, the love of her life, for 65 years, until the end of his life. 

Betty was born Elizabeth Rose Stillitano in Katona, New York, to Virginia Pecora Stillitano and Jimmy Fortunado Stillitano, on March 27, 1924.  She is pre-deceased by her parents and her brother Joseph Stillitano.

Betty was the ultimate saleswoman and worked for 30 years with various in-home party plans.  She was known to many as “the Stanley Lady” due to her sales of Stanley Home Products.

Betty was a good and natural Mother and friendly and receptive to everyone she met.  She knew no strangers, and was always interested in hearing your story because that is who she was, a very real person with no pretense, as good as you can get. 

Dearly missing her are her daughter, Tamara bearheart West, her son, Brandon Carl Matheson, and her daughter-in-law, Roberta Maria Helta-Matheson, as well as her nieces and nephews.

Soar with the Angels now, Sweetie, into Daddy’s arms.  Your work here on Earth is done, and job well done. You will be missed and forever loved.
