Dale Gene Brockett

Dale Gene Brockett, 80, peacefully passed away into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at home, in Apple Valley, Ca., surrounded by his loved ones.

Born in 1942, in San Fernando, Ca. to Rolland and Laura Brockett, Dale spent his career as a union plumber & pipefitter, working in new residential and commercial construction in Southern California for more than 35 years, including a stint building California’s sole surviving nuclear facility, Diablo Canyon, in Avila Beach, Ca.

His personal passions and interests were eclectic and varied; he raised Arabian horses for more than a decade, he was also an avid motocross racer, discovering the sport, along with his sons as they were growing up. He spent the latter part of his racing career riding with the Over the Hill Gang. He loved country-western dancing, traveling and was the ultimate fix-it guy. Dale was most fulfilled when building, repairing, improving or otherwise upgrading his surroundings as his fabrication and repair skills were a rare, innate talent.

Dale is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda; his brother, Ray Brockett; his children, son Dan Brockett (grandkids Elise, Spencer & their mother, Elizabeth Brockett), son Sean Brockett (grandkids Ryan, Tyler, Kylie, Blake & their mother Lisa Zimmer); daughter Heather Brockett-Williams (wife, Sunny) and their mother, Susan Collins; step-children Erin Strasburger (Nathan & Lauren) and Michael Steeman (Kingston & Austin, wife Missy); and his great grandchildren, Jaylyn Navarro, Dean Brockett, and Jordyn Brockett.

A Celebration of Life for Dale will be held on Sat. Oct 8th, 2022 from 12 – 2pm at the Village At The Park Clubhouse, 3300 Golden Pond Drive, Camarillo, Ca. 93012.
