Dottie Friou

Dortha “Dottie”L. Friou, age 85, under the care of Vitas Hospice and loving care of Agnus (her primary caregiver), passed away peacefully on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Seabreeze Manor in Oxnard, CA.  She was born February 26, 1933, in Oklahoma, to Phillip H. Campbell and Melinda A. Parker. She married Forrest V. Friou on August 5, 1950.  She was a dedicated homemaker, creating a welcoming and embracing home for her five daughters and the neighborhood kids.  Dottie and Forrest lived in Oxnard 38 years, after raising their family in La Puente, CA.  She had a knack for storytelling, creating jewelry and gardening.  Dottie had an uncanny ability to make others comfortable, and boy, could she cook!  She is survived by Forrest, her sister Bonnie Jean Campbell, her daughters and sons-in-laws, and too many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter.  Her funeral will be held graveside on November 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Conejo Mountain Cemetery in Camarillo.
