Frances (Holguin) Flores, 100 of Camarillo passed away on January 27th, 2023, with family by her side.
Frances was born on July 27, 1922, in Los Angeles. She grew up in the Rose Hills area graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School. In 1947 she married Bruno P Flores, also of Rose Hills.
Early on, Frances and Bruno lived with their children in Norwalk, California. She then was a Librarian for the Norwalk-La Mirada School District. She also made many beautiful and award-winning wedding cakes for family and friends. The family then moved to Ventucopa, California in the Cuyama Valley. There they owned the Diamond Belle restaurant for many years. They also operated the Flores Ranch, known for providing excellent butchery and meat packing services for the valley.
Frances was proceeded in death by her parents Fiacro and Esther Holguin, her husband of 54 years, Bruno and her youngest son Ralph Flores (Pam). As the oldest of 11 children, Frances has three surviving siblings: Celia Judice, Margaret Munoz, and Esther Holguin. She also has two surviving children, Jimmy Flores (Brenda) and Isabelle Santana (Alex) along with 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and the many nieces and nephews that love her so.
Upon Bruno’s death in 2001, Frances moved to Norwalk, CA for a few years and then to Camarillo, CA where she attended Padre Serra Parrish. She spent all those years traveling around southern California visiting her large family. She lived a full and wonderful life.
