Our beloved mom and her belated twin sister were born in Haifa, Palestine in 1930. They were the youngest of six siblings. She married Dad (Wadih Gedeon) in 1947, shortly before they immigrated to Lebanon, where Diana, Richard, Raymonde and Gilbert were born. Time with her family was her greatest gift. Mom was a caring, supportive and a loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother as well as a great friend.
Due to the civil war in Lebanon, Mom and Dad moved to the US in 1986 to join their two sons. Later that year, she witnessed the death of her older son, Richard.
Following their seven-year stay in the US, they returned to Lebanon in 1993 as they missed home. Mom tended to Dad during his final years until his last moment in 2004.
Shortly after, Mom moved back to the US to join Remy in Southern California where she finally settled and enjoyed her last 16 years to the fullest, surrounded by family and friends.
During her 3-month stay at Gilbert’s home in New Jersey, mom enjoyed the greatest family reunion ever with family, relatives and friends, celebrating Thanksgiving, Christmas and the blowing of the 90th candle on her surprise birthday.
Soon after returning to California with Diana, she encountered a severe health condition. Consequently, she surrendered to God’s invitation to join Dad and Richard in heaven.
Mom will always be in our hearts, never forgotten.
