Ms. Linda Rose Peterson (Eldridge) was born on February 10, 1950 in Newark, New Jersey. She moved to Northridge, California with her family when she was a young girl. She attended Bishop Alemany High School in the San Fernando Valley where she excelled in all subjects, except French. The ocean was always calling her name and she spent many hours surfing with her brother and working on her tan. She treasured her baby blue mustang and cruising around the valley listening to James Taylor. After graduating from San Diego State University, Linda bought a home in Channel Islands, California. She married in Newport Beach in 1979, and purchased a home in Camarillo, California and settled down to raise a family. She worked as an honest realtor and meticulous loan officer for various banks in Ventura County for over thirty years. She was a devoted mother; often playing catch at the softball fields, vacationing in Newport or gallivanting around craft festivals. In addition to her generous monetary donations, she was a volunteer for the special Olympics and Susan G. Komen foundation.
With Elton John’s Only the Good Die Young playing in the background, Linda passed away peacefully due to complications from Dementia and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) on January 12, 2020 at the age of 69.
She is preceded in death by her father, Henry Ronald Eldridge. She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Eldridge; siblings Ronald Eldridge, Joan Eldridge, and Judy Sumner; two loving daughters, Christen Amico and Michele Peterson-Cortez; son-in-law Francisco Cortez; and three grandchildren, whom she adored, Connor Amico (10), Brayden Amico (8), and Averylin Amico (4).
