Louis F. Trevisan

June 22, 1922 ~ June 13, 2018 (age 95) 95 Years Old

Tribute

Louis F.P. Trevisan-passed away June 13th at Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks.  Born in Trail British Columbia, Canada, to Peter and Emma Trevisan.  He skied, played soccer, hockey, swam in the cold Columbia river.  In 1939 served in 109th Battery in Rossland, B.C., “militia” for a few weeks, 1942 to 1946 RCAF, went overseas, On Il de France out of Halifax, Nova Scotia to England with 10,000 troops.  Returned to 1946 one year after WWII ended.  Worked for Consolidated Mining and Smelting Company in trail, B.C.  Joined Trail City Police and was the last surviving member.  Served in 1950, B.C. Provincial Police, and Royal Canadian Mounted Police. 

 

Arrived in Santa Monica, Worked for Metro Goldwyn Studio in Culver City as lab technician.  Met his lovely wife Lillian, nee Kidston of Halifax, N.S., Canada.  Married in Santa Monica’s Catholic Church in 1966.  Survived by son Peter, born in Saint Joseph’s hospital in Santa Monica, and daughter, Wendy from a previous marriage in Canada.  Retired from M.G.M. in 1986.  Worked at Newbury Park High School as campus supervisor for 23 years.  Predeceased are his wonderful father and mother, brother Robert of Spokane, Washington.  Also survived by sister, Eleanor of Trail, British Columbia, and brother, Dave of Penticton, Canada.

 

Funeral arrangements will be held at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 12:00pm.
